Did You Know Bestiary League Is A Massive PoE Currency Sink?

The Bestiary league and Hardcore Bestiary league are the upcoming challenge leagues. They will be released on March 2, 2018. This league introduces the Bestiary, the menagerie and beastcrafting.

All characters and stashes will be moved to Standard league and Hardcore league respectively when the leagues end. Characters that die in the Hardcore Bestiary league are immediately moved to the permanent Standard league.

A refreshing change from the ” kill fastspawing monsters for poe currency/loot” that was Breach, Abyss, and Harbinger.

Obviously if you are a clearspeed meta boi you will call it garbo, but if you are like me, an intellectual, you see how genius this league truely is. . .

I very much so agree. Not with the pretentous “an intellecual like me”, but with the fact that bestiary is a much different league at its core than many previous leagues which revolved around mass clearspeed. Its a great change of pace – even more so because bestiary is a MASSIVE Path of Exile currency sink, which is always good.

We’re going to introduce some new nets that can capture dead Beasts. You’ll be able to kill monsters at your normal speed without slowing down, and then you throw this net onto the dead monsters. It’ll find the rarest monster there and attach to it. Einhar has already demonstrated his skills at blood magic, so he’s very capable of reviving the monster as he adds it to your Menagerie.

After this change is made, players who want to go fast or who deal so much damage that nothing stands a chance will still be able to capture whatever Beasts they want. Players who enjoy the existing capture mechanics can still use the regular series of nets, with the option of switching to the new ones if they feel the need later on.

We will prioritise these changes for very early in the workweek. Thanks for your patience, and I hope that people who found the launch capture mechanics frustrating will find the new ones a lot better.
